Here's my illustrations for Glug Magazine exploring the beauty of migration, heritage and belonging within the Mendoza wine region of Argentina.

"Much of what modern Mendoza wine is speaks French. Malbec hails from Cahors for instance, and all other major varieties are French too. Yet Mendoza wouldn't be the leading wine region it is today if it wasn't for the large wave of Italian migration in the late 19th century. The work of Italian wine entrepreneur Antonio Tomba – just to name one – was so critical to the region's economy that Mendoza's football team is named after him. Countless wine families, including Rutini and Zuccardi, who boast Italian heritage still play a major role in Mendoza today."
